Monday, February 23, 2026 CRA opens e-filing for T1 tax returns.

RRSP deadline for contributing to your Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) for 2025. NOTE: CRA requires RRSP contributions made in the first 60 days of 2026 to be reported on the 2025 tax return even if you choose to carry forward and use these contributions for 2026.

T1 tax return filing deadline and tax payment due date to CRA of any balance owing for 2025 personal income tax, including self-employed persons (and spouse), although the self employed person (and spouse) has until June 15, 2026 to file their T1 tax return itself.

T1 tax return filing deadline for self-employed persons but any taxes payable must be paid by April 30, 2026 to avoid interest and penalties. In the case of a spouse, their T1 can also be filed June 15, 2026 but with taxes due by April 30, 2026.
December 31, 2026
December 31 of the year you turn 71 years old, is the last day you can contribute to your own RRSP.
